Chris J. Cody
Chris was born in Menasha and his family moved to Green Bay at a young age. Chris decided to become a Funeral Director when a close family friend recommended it to him.
“I am so happy I chose Funeral Service as my career. There are both happy and sad moments as I work with families to plan a fitting and memorable tribute for someone they love. I have the honor of serving and helping guide people through some of the most difficult times in life and find my work very rewarding. My hope for the families I serve, is that when they look back on the event we planned, whether it is a more traditional service, or a more contemporary celebration of life, they will remember it as a fitting tribute to someone they love”
He attended the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay and the Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, Illinois, graduating in 1998. Chris worked in the Green Bay and Fox Valley areas his entire career. He joined Wichmann Funeral Homes in 2014. He took a position in the Upper Peninsula for a short time, but in June of 2019 he returned to the Fox Valley and Wichmann Funeral Homes.
Chris is married to his lifelong friend Candy and the two of them have 5 children between them. They live in Menasha and are very happy to be back home, near family and friends. Together they enjoy camping and time outdoors. Chris also enjoys fishing, hiking and backpacking. He enjoys just about anything that will take him outside or “Up North” at any time of year.
