Age 74, passed away at Appleton Medical Center on Saturday, February 16, 2008. He was born in the Township of Herman near Shawano on February, 19, 1933 the son of the late Edwin and Elsie (Hoppe) Duwe. He served in the United States Army, enlisting in 1953. He married the love of his life, Joan (Miller) Duwe. Bill is survived by five loving children: Janna (Dale) Davis, John Duwe, William (Tanya) Duwe, Julie (fiance, Don Scorgie) Duwe, James (Lizzie) Duwe and his four children Curtis, Zachary, Alyssa and Cayden. He is further survived by many other relatives and good friends. Willis owned Rainsoft in Appleton for many years. He loved to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. He will be remembered for his love of family, friends, God and country. The memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St, Appleton, with Rev. David Lyle, from First English Lutheran Church, officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Bill's name is being established.
