William G. Lesselyong ‘Bill’
Age 87
Of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 22, 2004. He was born on November 21, 1916 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lesselyong in Appleton. Bill graduated from Appleton High School in 1934 excelling in basketball. He worked at Appleton Wire Works (Albany Corp) for 43 years as a wire weaver until retiring in 1974. On April 19, 1941 Bill and Verna Pfund married and have celebrated 63 years together. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII in New Guinea. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying duck hunting, fishing, golfing and many sports.

Survivors include his wife, Verna of 62 years; his daughter, Sue (Kirk) Fromhart, Combined Locks; grandchildren: Scott (Julie) Fromhart and Shari Fromhart; four great grandchildren: Courtney, Zachery, Sabrina and Sydney Fomhart.

According to Bill’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services. Memorials may be directed to First English Lutheran Church, Salvation Army or the Humane Society.
