Patti O\'Connell left a message on April 6, 2009:
I was so happy when Bill came and said "goodbye" to me on my last day of work at the P-C. It was special to me. That was just last December. I was glad to hear he retired a year early, and was hoping to meet up with him again soon. I hope we do meet again. Until then, I will remember Bill as a wonderful, caring person who was such a blessing for the newspaper and community. May God comfort the family! And may they hold on to the many great memories they have!

I(Edna) am a good friend of Bill\'s Aunt Helen Rhinelander. She always spoke so lovingly of her nephew - he was her pride and joy. I(Sonja)didn\'t know Bill well, but did graduate from RHS a year after Bill. My father-in-law, Harold Dunbar, is one of your parishioners, Pat, in Neenah and he notified us Sun. night of Bill\'s death. We were so saddened and shocked.Accept our sympathies.

I\'m sorry to hear about the sudden news of Bill\'s passing. My late father and Bill were best friends since high school at Rhinelander. Bill wrote an article about him on the Post Crescent, and I took the time to read his article again that I had saved. Accept my sympathies.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
