Age 58, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. He was born in Milwaukee on November 15, 1951, the son of the late William and Neoma (Tiefenthaler) Kaegi. On October 9, 2000 he married Alison Brahe Nigl. Bill was a caring and giving person who was always willing to help when friends and family needed his support. He had the gift of gab and always made others feel comfortable. Bill enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved to travel and enjoyed yearly vacations to the Florida Keys. He especially loved the Northwoods having spent summers on the Eagle River Chain since childhood. He graduated and earned his Masters Degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. After his graduation he was employed by American Motors and American Suzuki Motor Company. Most recently, Bill was enjoying his career as a real estate professional in the Fox Valley area. His positive attitude, huge smile and infectious laugh will be remembered by all who knew him.

Bill will be greatly missed by his wife, Alison; children: Christopher and Nicole Kaegi of Oak Creek; step-children: Sarah (Robert) Cooper and his infant granddaughter, Olivia, of Menasha and Christopher Nigl of Menasha; brother: Don (Nancy) Kaegi of Troy, MI; mother-in-law, Grace Savage of Appleton; brothers-in-law, Bruce (Judy) Brahe of Menasha and David (Sue) Brahe of Eagle River; and is further survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Dr. Neil Brahe.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2010, at OUR SAVIOUR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3009 N. Meade St., Appleton, with Rev. Kurt Hoffman officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bill Kaegi Memorial Fund and sent to the Wichmann Funeral Home.
