TO THE WALTER COTTON FAMILY - Even though you do not know us, we want to extend our deepest sympathy to your whole family. Walter was a tenant of our apartment on Schafer St. when we owned it and have to say he was one of our best tenants. A very fine gentleman. He always told us about his family in Texas & Cincinnati and we knew he spent the winters there. That was a number of years ago but still thought about him, wondering how he was doing as he was the type of person we wouldn't forget. Kindest Regards, Jerry, Rosemary & Steve Kamps

May your memories provide you with peace and comfort during this difficuly time. All of our thoughts and prayers are with the Cotton Family. My favorite memory was his back nine at Clovernook as he striking it so well and his smile confirmed how proud he was with his game. My father added to Mr. Cotton's delight when he asked if he really was eighty years old.

Jerry left a message on May 12, 2009:
I was so sorry to read of the passing of Wally Cotton. During the summer of each school year back in the early 1950s, I was Wally's sidekick when he was a route man for Cigarette Service Company. He was a great fellow to work for -- he always had a smile on his face and would often sing while on the job. He had a way with people -- he could defuse potential problems with our customers using his amazing people skills. He always brought a smile to those around him. I offer my condolences to his family who grieve at the loss of this really good man. God called Wally to His home. Jerry Tonnell, Montgomery, AL
