Virginia D. Steffens

Virginia D. Steffens, Fond Du Lac, formerly Kaukauna, passed away on April 19, 2014. Virginia was born on October 23, 1922 in Kaukauna Wisconsin to the late Albert and Mabel (Paschen) Reinholz. She was a graduate of Kaukauna High School. On February 20, 1946 she married George Steffens at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna. The couple resided in both Kaukauna and Fond Du Lac over the years and also enjoyed their cottage near Brussels Wisconsin. Virginia worked as a telephone operator and also held several positions in retail stores over the years. She was employed with Runte's Department Store as well as Look Drug Store. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

She will be sadly missed by: her husband George; her children; Diane (Jerry) Wachdorf, Eldorado; David (Vicki) Steffens, Freedom; Christine (Kevin) Fisher, Salem Oregon; Michael (Pam) Steffens, Fort Wayne Indiana; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Janice Freier as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenneth (Katherine) Reinholz; sister Carol (Lee) Ashauer, brother-in-law Karl Freier.

Memorial Services for Virginia will be held Wednesday May 14, 2014 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
