Virginia A. Hoerning

Virginia A. Hoerning, 85 of Appleton, passed away on Monday evening, November 2, 2015 with her family at her side. Virginia was born on February 25, 1930 to the late Henry and Theresa Bushman. On December 22, 1951 she married Russell Hoerning and together they were blessed with nine children. Russell preceded her in death on July 25, 1992. Virginia loved to play bingo at St. Thomas More, playing cards and watching the Green Bay Packers. She worked at Central Paper in Menasha, Georges Steak House, Golden Griddle Restaurant and most recently at 2 R Restaurant.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Ann Kohanski; Roger (Kathy) Hoerning; Charles (Barb) Hoerning; Mary (Mike) Peck; Pamela Peterson (Richard); Henry Hoerning; Russell Hoerning, Jr.; Terry Hoerning (Lona); step-daughter Marion (Tom) Moder; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-great grandchildren; brothers: Donald Bushman; James Bushman; Clem Bushman; sister Kathy Johnson as well as many other relatives and friends.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Russell, one daughter Laura Hoerning, son-in-law Robert Kohanski, granddaughter Diana Van Heuklon-Sievers, step-grandson Tim Moder, sister, sisters-in-law, brothers and brothers-in-law.

Visitation for Virginia will be Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and Friday November 6, 2015 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Wichmann Funeral Home, Superior Street Location. Funeral Services will be on Friday November 6, 2015 at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating.
