Rev. Harvey & Nancy Kandler left a message on December 29, 2009:
Dear family of Vi: We thank God for her spirit, kindness and love of the church. We were in her home many times, especially when Frank was ill, and found her to always be pleasant and wanting to help out wherever she could. We thank God for her life and witness and pray that He will bless and keep her for all eternity, because our Lord is able where we are unable, and he helps us to conquer our sin and our death so that the meaningful life on earth becomes the meaningful life in heaven. It is not so much what we discover at the end of life but who we are with for all eternity, and that is our Risen Lord. It may seem that death has blown out the candle on earth, but rather it is the opposite. The light that is gone has started the dawn, and we have the new heaven and earth, for He has Risen. May our Lord bless you as you mourn and may you discover that He will carry your load. We send our sincere and deep sympathy. The Rev. Harvey & Nancy Kandler Retired pastor, Kaukauna
