Viola M. Williamsen

August 1, 1905 — September 10, 2005

Williamsen, Viola
(nee Bastian)
Appleton

Viola completed an earthly journey on September 10, 2005, which began August 1, 1905. She is the daughter of Fred and Agnes Radloff Bastian.
On June 29, 1936, she married Joe Williamsen, which began a wonderful 52 year marriage. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Betty Bastian and Betty Williamsen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Viola was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Appleton for 69 years. She was very active in United Methodist Women, where she used her artistic talents in culinary arts. She worked for Design Unlimited for many years, a company owned by her friend, Georgia Schreiner.
Viola loved children, especially babies, and sewed, knit, crocheted, and tatted for all members of the family.

Interment will take place at Appleton Highland Memorial Park. A memorial service celebrating Vi’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church at a later date.

The family would like to thank the pastors of First United Methodist Church for their dedicated efforts to be of help-Rev. David Brice, Rev. Kent Ingram, and Rev. Jane Voight; the wonderfully dedicated staff at Peabody Manor will always be remembered with gratitude, as will the Peabody Manor Auxiliary. Special thanks to the following for their continued loyalty to Aunt Vi by their regular visits-Dana Biasi, Ione Brechlin, Ken & Rita Hoffman, Gary & Judy Schumacher, Delores Schroeder, Sherry Filz-Strawn, and Aunt Betty Williamsen.
