Recycled Time

by Victoria Bolz – March 3, 2005

How do you recycle time?

Reuse the seconds, minutes and hours of the day?

Do you recycle only the good times?  Not the Bad?

The memories that brought you laughter, joy, and pleasure?

Why not the memories of pain, woe, and despair?

Do you take one good memory and play it out day after day after day?

Choosing only the true essence of happiness?

Does the painful memory never get recycled because of the horrible devastation it originally left?

How do you recycle time?

Maybe you never spring forward or fall behind?

And if you choose recycled time, what prevents you from getting bored?

Never experiencing spontaneity, happenstance, or perchance?

Isn’t time one movement at a time, go with the flow, living like it’s the last?

I the pendulum of time perpetually swings, why not take the time to truly live,

Make your time fresh, invigorating and roll the punches – vow never to recycle time.
