Victoria L. Kuchelmeister

Vicki Kuchelmeister, age 60, of Kaukauna, passed away on Wednesday evening, September 7, 2011. Vicki was born in Appleton on April 27, 1951, daughter of the late William and Jeanette (Spaulding) Kuchelmeister. As a young woman, Vicki worked at a beauty shop in Appleton. Later, she worked at Integrity Mutual Insurance in Appleton. Her most recent work was in the deli at Festival Foods in Appleton. There she loved her job, her co-workers, and her customers. She was so happy to be part of the Festival Family! Vicki was fond of crafting, and especially enjoyed crochet, sewing, knitting, and music. She was an important volunteer at the Community Benefit Tree, and been helping out there since her family founded the organization nearly twenty years ago.

Vicki is survived by two sisters: Karla Wolfinger of Kaukauna and Lei Otte of Weyauwega; two brothers: Scott (Sue) Kuchelmeister of Kaukauna and Todd (Juliet) Kuchelmeister of Appleton; a sister-in-law: Joey Kuchelmeister of Greensboro, North Carolina; an aunt: Dolores Kuchelmeister; eleven nieces, eleven nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Jim Kuchelmeister, brothers-in-law Larry Wolfinger and Jim Otte, and a nephew Greg Otte.

The Funeral Liturgy for Vicki will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 12, 2011 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna. Fr. John Bergstadt and Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen will concelebrate. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM and again at the church on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the liturgy.

The family would like to offer our sincere thanks to the staff and our volunteer Judy Heindel at Theda Care At Home and Home Instead for their wonderful care and compassion. Karla and Sue, her special caregivers gave so much of themselves. Thanks also to Janet Dercks who came in and helped out on occasion. We thank you all so very much.
