Vera R. Kuhn

Vera Kuhn, age 86, was called home to the arms of her waiting Lord early on the morning of Wednesday, February 14, 2007. Vera was born in Split Rock, Wisconsin on July 2, 1920, daughter of the late Otto and Wlihelmina (Pingel) Lundt. As a young woman, she attended the Tigerton High School and the Langlade County Normal School. Vera taught elementary school in Spit Rock, and on October 25, 1941 married Roy W. Kuhn. In 1946, the couple relocated to Kaukauna.

She is survived by four children: Gretchen Duff of Green Bay; Jean (Michael) Douglas of Menasha; Theodore (Nancy) Kuhn of Little Chute; and Nicholas Kuhn of West Allis. She also leaves behind six grandchildren: LaVerne (Dave) Dahl, Brian (Tiffany) Duff, Amy (Brian) Dahlin, Caren (Richard) Rohde, Nicholas Kuhn, and Matthew Kuhn; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers: Floyd Lundt of Sillwater, Minnesota and Warner (Barbara) Lundt of Appleton; a sister: Nettie Seefeldt of Tigerton, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy in 1974, two sons-in-law: Bruce Duff and William Hardt; Roy’s parents: Theodore and Meta Kuhn; brothers: Earl (Alice) Lundt, Clarence (Evelyn) Lundt, Lester (Winifred) Lundt, and Irvin Lundt; sisters: Sylvia (Harvey) Krohn and Clara (Carlton) Kuhn; a brother-in-law: Edgar Seefeldt; and a granddaughter Mary Hardt.

The Christian Funeral for Vera will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2007 at TRINITY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 804 Grignon Street in Kaukauna with Rev. Karl Schultz officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Friday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
