“Bill”

Thomas William Schleisner, age 81, passed away with family by his side on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. He was born on January 27, 1929, the son of the late Martin and Violet (Huddlestone) Schleisner. Bill graduated from the University of Madison with a Bachelor Degree. He was a member of the University's football team and was honored by the Janesville Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in football. Bill was a member of Ducks Unlimited and an avid lover of all sports, especially his true passion, golf..golf..and more golf!

Bill is lovingly survived by his children: Susan Schleisner of Elkhart Lake, Karin Schleisner of Dublin, Ohio, Jed (Susan) Schleisner of Greenville; grandchildren: Ceci Schleisner and Isy Schleisner; sister: Joan (Bruce) Pierson; brother, Jon (Sue) Schleisner, special friends, Maureen and Ted Motschman, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill is further survived by his beloved dog, Beaver. Bill is preceded in death by his sister, Donna Ruchti.

A Memorial Service for Thomas will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Deacon Don Gigure officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
