To the Nooyen family, we got to know Thom from being his across the hall neighbor a couple of years ago when we moved into Ridgeview Highlands. He was always welcoming and helpful when we had questions, and we have fond memories of him. We send out sympathies to you all. Phil and Betsy Benoit
Fr. Chris Manahan, S.J. left a message on May 1, 2020:
To the family of Tom Nooyen, my prayers for you as you celebrate his life, and for Tom as he joins Julie in everlasting peace with God. Shortly before he entered hospice he brought to the Jesuit Retreat House a treasured Nativity creche that Julie had collected over the years, and asked if we would care for it and display it each Christmas. We shall do so gratefully in honor of his 38 retreats here. In 2006, Julie and he made a retreat together. His last retreat was last year during Holy Week, April 17-19. He prepared himself well in the year since. May his love for you and memories of that love be a comfort to you now and for years to come. Easter blessings. - Fr. Chris Manahan, S.J., Director, Jesuit Retreat House on Lake Winnebago, Oshkosh.

I've known Tom for many years as a friend & colleague at Valley Bank and then M&I Bank. In retirement we enjoyed many breakfasts, lunches and trips to Door County. A real quality person: loved his family, & talked about his granddaughter Molly often. Loved his bent toward history. I'll miss you buddy!

I had the privilege of knowing Thom when he served on our Salvation Army Project Home Board. He was an incredibly kind and supportive member who cared a great deal for the people we served in our program. My condolences, for the family!

Tim and Sherri, So sorry to hear about Thom! The few times I was able to meet Thom he was always a very down to earth, laid back, easy to relate to guy. He seemed to be liked by all and will be missed by all that knew him.
