Tammy Ver Voort

Tammy Ver Voort, 40, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010 at home. Tammy was born on May 2, 1970 to David Sr. and Darlene (Ashton) Ver Voort in Appleton. Tammy was a school teacher in the Kaukauna School district teaching for many years at Nicolet and Park Schools. She loved animals, kids, reading and also enjoyed quiet times at home with her dog, Lady. She was grateful to her family and many friends. Tammy was an Elvis fan since she was 4 years old and collected Elvis memorabilia.

Tammy is survived by her parents, David Sr. and Darlene Ver Voort, Appleton, her brother, David Jr. “DJ” (Jolie) Ver Voort, and a special niece, McKenna, Greenville, aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, other relative and many friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Arnold and Virginia Ver Voort and her maternal grandparents Harold and Joyce Ashton.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 7:30 PM at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home. Friends may call on Monday from 4:30 PM until the time of services at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Barbara Hines and all of the teachers in the Kaukauna School District. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Tammy's name.
