Suzanne “Susan” Weiss, 72, of Kimberly, passed away on December 15, 2017.
Susan was born on September 16, 1945 at the Warren Robbins Air Force Base in Georgia. She graduated from Viterbo College in Lacrosse in 1967 and continued her education at Ohio State receiving her Masters in Social Justice. After that Susan received her law degree from Georgetown Law School. She was united in marriage to Robert Firkus in Reno Nevada on March 12, 2010. Susan worked as a policy analyst for Leading Age retiring in December of 2010. She was a hard worker and loved what she did. Susan also enjoyed traveling and her cats.
Susan is survived by her husband Robert Firkus, siblings; James (Gail) Weiss, Kenneth (Kathie) Weiss, Shirley (Tim) Riley, Linda (Richard) Sippel, Howard (Paula) Weiss, Mary (Steve) Marchiando, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Thomas Weiss, and a nephew Eric Sippel.
The funeral liturgy for Susan will be held on Thursday January 11, 2017 at 11:30 AM at ST. PIUS X, 500 W. Marquette St. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Online condolence may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
