Dear Jenkins family, I'm so sorry to hear about Sue's passing. She was such a positive person and a wonderful memory of my childhood. My favorite memory is when she came to our house on moving day and she introduced herself and welcomed our family to the neighborhood. We felt like we really belonged there! She was such a positive influence for our family! Her presence will definitely be missed by so many. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time!! Sarah Beaumont

Although no words can erase the pain you bear from your loss- I pray that the love of God enfolds you during this difficult time, allowing you to find strength, peace and healing with the passage of time. I will forever cherish Sue's kindness and thoughtfullness through the years as she watched me grow. She knew me since I was 9 months old. It was always such a delight to see Sue's sweet smile as her and my mom enjoyed their coffee and lunch dates. I am incredibly grateful to have known Sue and to have been able to call her my neighbor for many years.

When I look back, I thank the Good Lord that Sue stopped over to our house on moving day, to say "hi" and welcomed us to the neighborhood--35 years ago! When our kids were little, we would go on many walks to the various parks in town and to Rings Restaurant, so our kids could get an ice cream cone. Yes, perhaps we snuck one in too. In fall, when the kids went back to school and our homes were quiet and empty, we could visit with each other over a cup of good coffee. That helped to fill the void. Thank goodness, we both loved coffee! We shared many a good recipe with each other too. Sue's 'Howie's Apple Crisp' was the best! And her Christmas sugar cookies were rated a 10+, in my book. Susan was always so generous and giving. She was always there to have a heartfelt talk with, have some fun, and share a laugh or two. She loved Gene, her family, and grandkids. She so wanted to spend time with them, to hold them, and to love them. She thought the world of her sisters also, and her extended family. Thanks for being my neighbor and friend, Sue! I will truly miss you! Now you are forever cradled in the loving, everlasting arms of Jesus our Savior. Kevin and I want to extend our sincere sympathy to Gene and family! (2 Corinthians 4:6): For God, who said, "Let there be light in the darkness," has made us understand that it is the brightness of His glory that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. ///
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
