Age 69, died Friday morning, June 1, 2001. She was born February 8, 1932 to the late Robert and Helen ( Golembeski) Velie, in Appleton where she was a resident most of her life. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, Joseph C. Grow, with whom she had just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary; four children, Debbie and Jim Matteson, Minneapolis, MN; Dianne and Gary Streufert, Appleton; Mike and Molly Grow, Appleton; Pam and Perry Mansfield, Little Chute; 10 grandchildren, Sarah, Amy, Alissa and Jenna Matteson; Katie Streufert; Sam and Benj Grow; Amanda, Jeremy and Erin Mansfield; and a sister, Joanne Cross, Appleton. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Velie, Jr. A memorial service for Susan will be held at 11:30 am, Monday, June 4, 2001, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 601 East Glendale Avenue, with Reverend Daniel Thews officiating. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established for Together in Mission of Faith Lutheran Church.

Our kind and gentle wife and mother dearly loved her family. Her 10 “Honey Boys” and “Honey Girls” cherished their Grandma. Her constant faith has brought us all closer to the Lord.
