I'll miss Sue, her friendship and musical inspiration. I hung out with her, her son Nick, Keif and Susan V. after our band Off The Wall broke up in 1992 / 1993. We drifted apart over the years and I just learned of her passing yesterday. She introduced me to ferrets, Led Zeppelin III (vinyl), Heart's "Dreamboat Annie" and "Little Queen," sweet rolls at the bakery nearby off College Ave., rainbow fish windsocks, clove cigarettes, camping at High Cliff State Park (resulted in a downpour), and a beautiful montage the four of us made, cutting out words & photos from various magazines, and put on a poster board that described the summer we all shared together. Thank you for the magickal time Sue - there was something divine at play while the four of us were searching during a regrouping time. I love you... Coincidentally I recently won an autographed copy of Heart's new autobiography. Love and condolences to the family.

Honorable mention to Sue - as I don't know of any other teacher on the planet that had the bravery to show her students Pink Floyd's The Wall movie - which she took some heat for. lol If she were still in that position perhaps she'd be showing Esoteric Agenda. I had witnessed the way she interacted with a couple of her students outside of school. She treated them like human beings. Miss you Sue - a remarkable human being and unique thinker - you've been a positive influence on my life. ([email protected])

I just heard of Sue's death and wanted to let you know how she touched my life. I was one of the kids that was blessed to have Sue in my life. She treated my like an adult and gave me the power to do my best. I stayed in contact for the first year or so after graduation from Kaukauna, but regret that I did not keep in touch after that. I never got to tell her how much of a positive influence she was in my life. Words can't express how saddened I am to hear of her loss. My condolences go out to her family.

I see Sue's adult life has continued the passion I saw in her as a child-determined to support her causes and beliefs. Not sure how all that ballet helped us? thanks for all the memories, Peace(sign) Sue

Helen and Susan's family - I was saddened to see the notice of Susan's death in this morning's WSJ. I'm remembering those long commutes to Madison, Helen, when our kids were in school and you spoke so fondly - and often with such exasperation - about Tim and Susan and the others. We'd laugh about the challenges of parenting, but underlying the humor was, of course, deep joy in the role and lots of love. My prayers are with you as you grieve for Susan and celebrate her life. Fondly, Mary

I have only known Susan for one year, however her strength, independence, and vibrant personality could be seen the moment you met her. She touched my life with both encouragement and honest constructive criticism. I was honored to have had the chance to know her if even for a short time and am sad to see her go at such a young age. Her love for her family was always a topic of conversation between us and I hope you all know how loved you were. She will be thought of often and missed even more. Sincerely, Loretta
