Susan G. Bleick, age 73, formerly of Appleton, passed away peacefully in Bonita Springs, Florida on Sunday morning, February 8, 2009. She was born on July 16, 1935 in Oshkosh. Sue was united in marriage to Wayne Bleick in 1988. She graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1953 and attended William Woods Women's Junior College in Sulton, MO. Sue returned to Oshkosh, working at a bank and later moved to Appleton, where she was employed at Appleton Highland Memorial Park. For the past 20 years, she loved living in Bonita Springs, FL where she enjoyed reading and caring for her husband, family, and friends.

In addition to her husband, Wayne, Sue is survived by her children and stepchildren: Debra Rahr-Buchanan of Colorado and Robert (Lee) Rahr Jr. of Appleton, Christopher Bleick of Menasha, Mary (John) Geiger of Appleton, Daniel Bleick of Appleton, David (Barb) Bleick of Cascade and Jonathon Bleick of Appleton; grandchildren: Brynn Rahr, Bryce Rahr, Jason (Robin) Bleick, Matthew (Jodi) Schmalz, Jamye (Don) Winkers, Rachel Kroll and Trevor Bleick; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Duwe; half sister, Pat Carroll; and nieces and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ruth (Meyer) Hoppe; and brother-in-law, William Duwe.

A Funeral Service for Sue will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the Star of Hope Chapel Mausoleum located at Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond Ave., Appleton. A time of visitation and support will be held at the chapel from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorials in Sue's name may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
