Steve Snow

October 14, 1953 — April 13, 2013

Steve Snow, age 59, peacefully went Home early on Saturday morning, April 13th, 2013. He courageously fought cancer for 7-1/2 years. It could not, however, take his faith nor his love for his family or God, nor his sense of humor and care for others. The love of his wife, children, and beloved grandkids made the fight worthwhile. Steve was an inspiration to many, including others at chemo whom he tried to put at ease and give them reassurance. He loved kids, acting like one himself. Steve played with his grandkids and volunteered for kid's activities at church and school. He also loved traveling and seeing God's handiwork all around us. Steve found Hawaii and Alaska the most beautiful, and Disney World the most fun (especially with some Grandkids!) Steve was a long-time employee of Canadian National Railroad. He loved sports of all kinds. Steve was pretty competitive, especially with baseball and basketball in his earlier years. He still bowled until cancer put a stop to it. Steve was proud of the SoleBurner Team his friends and family did in his honor last year, and will do in his memory this year. He and Sandi felt truly blessed by their vacations together, the way their families so beautifully blended and by all the friends and family who poured out their love and care for them the past year. He will be sadly missed, by his wife, Sandi; his children Tim Snow (special friend, Meghan); Jason (Lisa) Grebe; Julie (Allen) Last; Shanen (Scott) Sadowski; his grandchildren, Ruby and Sully Snow, Haley and Dylan Grebe, Megan and Aiden Last, and Parker and Emma Sadowski; and this year, Hilal Nar, the Last's AFS student from Turkey. He is also survived by his siblings Marsha Snow, Paula (Bill) Keimel, John (MaryJo) Snow; his much loved nieces and nephews; and Tricia Snow.
A Celebration of Steve's life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at CALVARY BIBLE CHURCH, 1450 Oakridge Road, Neenah, with Rev. Eric Omdal officiating. Friends may call directly at the Wichmann Funeral Home–Tri-County Chapel, 3212 S. Oneida Street, Menasha, on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Cancer Society, International Children's Fund, The Neenah Animal Shelter or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Special thanks to Doctors John Swanson, Charles Cheng and Timothy Goggins, and all who are in their offices–each of their staff. Also to all those who lifted us in prayer and love. We know Steve's life has not just ended–it has really just begun! Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com
