Age 50, died on Monday, June 30, 2008 after a short illness. Steve was born on May 17, 1958 son of the late Thomas and Edwina (Balzerette) Wulterkens. Steve was a graduate of Kaukauna High School, Class of 1977. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his pets, Snickers, Wynne, and Harley. Steve is survived by his sons, Greg (Aimee), Little Chute; Eric (Traci Koepsel), Appleton; Steve's special friend, Loretta Sprague, Appleton; his brothers, Mike Wulterkens, Kaukauna; David (Amy Cazzola) Fritz, Dan, and Steven Fritz, and a sister, Susan (Joseph) Zwiers, all of Kaukauna; aunts and uncles, Audrey (Mel) DeBroux,, Karen Schommer, Cathy (Bill) Carnot, all of Kaukauna; Cindy (Fred) Zwaniarkiewicz, Baraboo; two half brothers, George and Gary Puffer, Louisiana , and many nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his “mother,” Mary Fritz- Wulterkens-Harvey.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the FARGO FUNERAL HOME, Kaukauna. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
