Stephen M. Saeger

Steve Saeger, age 57, passed away peacefully at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton on Thursday, July 31, 2008. Steve was born in Kewaunee, Illinois on July 22, 1951, son of the late Ralph Saeger and Eleanor Kramer Saeger who now resides in Weyauwega. He attended the Geneseo, Illinois High School and received an Associate's Degree from Blackhawk Technical College. Many will remember Steve from the businesses he operated in the Seymour area: Saeger Insurance and Saeger Real Estate. He was an avid Packers, Brewers, and Cubs fan, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Steve is survived by his mother: Eleanor Saeger of Weyauwega; his wife of twenty-five years: Jean Saeger of Appleton; three children: Leah Suprise of Appleton and her friend James; Brandon Saeger of Appleton; and Richard Saeger of Appleton and his friend Maleena; two grandchildren: Allie Stuckart and Brian Stuckart, II; a brother: Lonnie (Marcie) Saeger of Huntington Beach, California; a brother-in-law: Doug (Sue) Seidl of Seymour; a sister-in-law: Marilyn Seidl of Seymour; special family friends: Jill, Meghan, and Matthew Watters; Vonell Benis; and Mirko and Kaub Sala; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his father Ralph and a brother-in-law Tom Seidl.

The funeral liturgy for Steve will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 4, 2008 at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1825 N. McDonald Street in Appleton with Fr. Gerald R. Falk officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service.
