Shirley I. McKinley

Formerly of Grafton, died September 7, 2002 in Menasha. Shirley was born in Osceola, Wisconsin on February 20, 1909, daughter of the late Elmer and Pearl (McCarty) Johnson. On June 20, 1936 she married Earl McKinley, he preceded her in death in November of 1988. For many years, Shirley worked as a secretary in a Milwaukee law office. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and bingo, and in their retirement years, the couple spent much of their time at the Grafton Senior Center.

Shirley is survived by her daughter: Karen (Greg) Joseph of Greenville, and two grandchildren: Lindsey Joseph and Andy Joseph, both of Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother Julia, and a step-sister Lucille Doyle.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 10 at 11:00 AM in the South Chapel of Wisconsin Memorial Park’s Family Center at 12875 W. Capitol Drive, in Brookfield with Rev. Donald Koehn officiating. Friends may call at the family center on Tuesday from 10 AM until the hour of services.
