Shirley Ann Baumler

April 3, 1929 — October 8, 2015

Shirley Ann Baumler, 86 of Appleton, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, October 8, 2015, four years to the day of her husband John's passing.

Shirley was born on April 3, 1929 in Herrin, Illinois to the late Clifford and Iantha Speckman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Shirley enjoyed camping with her family and her many animals through the years. Everyone loved her yummy cheesecake and cooking and baking were her passions. She married John Baumler on June 22, 1952 in Herrin, Illinois.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Lori (Dayne) Cooley, Appleton; her sons, Kirk (Pam) Baumler, Waupaca, and Mark (Kathy Brown) Baumler, Appleton; her grandchildren, Danielle (Ben) Foster, Alaina Cooley, Taylor Cooley, Matthew (Ashley) Baumler, Casey (Stephanie) Baumler, Stephen Baumler and Evan Baumler; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Ethan, Halle, Celia, Weston, and Lennyn, her sister-in-law, Johanna Miller.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, John, her mother-in-law, Paula Baumler, father-in-law, John Baumler and a sister-in-law Margaret.

The memorial Service for Shirley will be on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Superior Street Location with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

The family would like to thank all of the staff at Theda Care Hospice for the loving care they “were keepers” as she referred to them as.
