Sharon J. Olmstead

Sharon J. Olmstead, age 62, of Appleton, passed away at Appleton Health Center on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Sharon was born on December 15, 1951, in Wausau, to the late Charles and Violet Jean (Lepak) Parlier. She married Dennis Olmstead on December 11, 1982, in Appleton. Sharon was employed at Kimberly Clark Corporation as an administrative assistant, retiring in 2006.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Dennis; her son, Tony Geier; her step-son, Jerime (Marissa) Olmstead; her step-daughter, Karrie Carman; her siblings, Jack (Charlene) Parlier; Barry (Pam) Parlier; Dan (Barb) Parlier; Ann (Kurt) Schmidt; Bruce (Jodine) Parlier; Julie (Jim) Valdes; and Matt (Sarah) Parlier; her grandchildren, Paige Geier, Nash Geier, Amanda Carman and Aaron Olmstead. She was preceded in death by her sister Susie Parlier.

Sharon was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She especially treasured the time spent with her family. Sharon was well-known for her enjoyment of singing. For over twenty years she was involved with worship teams, sang at weddings and other church services. She enjoyed women's Bible studies and painting pottery.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME—TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida Street, Menasha, with Rev. Steve Shepherd officiating. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
