Scott M. Gloudemans

October 15, 1975 — March 22, 2009

Scott Michael Gloudemans, born on October 15, 1975 and reborn for eternity on March 22, 2009. Scott fought a valiant battle against muscular dystrophy his entire life. He loved racing of any kind and spent almost every Thursday night in the summer at WIR, watching stock car races. He accomplished his wish to see a NASCAR race at Bristol, Tennessee in 2007. In his younger years he was an accomplished radio control car racer in Hortonville, Oshkosh, and Neenah. Scott had a beautiful voice and sang karaoke at Michael's in Menasha. He was very attuned to the feelings of others, loved his God, his family, extended family, and many friends. He was very instrumental in the unity of his several families. We all looked to him for courage and strength.

He is survived by his mom: Kay Mierzwinski; dad and step-mom: Mike (Kathy) Gloudemans; grandmother: Joanne Nollenberg; aunts: Emma Gloudeman, Roberta Gasper, Melissa (Matt) Cashman; uncles: Greg Madson, Charles (Sandy) Madson; Forrest (Mary) Clark, Brian Clark, and Jim Gloudemans (Debbie Gloudemans); he is further survived by numerous loving cousins; two step-brothers, a step-sister; and many wonderful friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ronald Gloudemans, Edith Huff, LeRoy Nollenberg, and Harry E. Huff; his uncle: Ted Gloudeman. He was also preceded in death by a very good friend, Kyle Boegh.

A Funeral Celebration of Scott's life will be held 12:30, Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont Street, Appleton. Fr. Robert Karuhn will be the officiant. A time of visitation and support will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Scott requests for friends and family to wear bright colors in attendance to the celebration of his life.

A memorial fund has been established in Scott's name.

Scott's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sharon Peterson and Jane Belling, and the entire staff and caregivers at Appleton Medical Center, for all their wonderful care and support.

Our hero, our son, we are so very proud of you, and love you very, very much.
Love,
Mom and Dad
