Age 48, died on Friday, January 27, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Scott was born in Appleton, on October 6, 1957, the son of Delmer and Margaret (Peters) Henning. He married Renee Walter on November 12, 2005. Scott was an active member of the Lake Poygan Sportsman’s Club and the Sturgeon Advisory Committee. He was an avid hunter, sportsman, fisherman and bow hunter. Scott also enjoyed spending time with his dogs and cats. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Renee; father, Delmer; step-mother, Shirley; sister, Debra (Tom) Helm; step-children, Shawn Walter (Michelle Diermeier) and Tory Walter; step-sister, Jamie (Steve) Spice; nephew, Brandon Helm; father and mother-in-law, Don and Charlotte Stevenson; sister-in-law, Colleen (Jamie) Smiley; brother-in-law, Colin Stevenson; niece and nephew, Brianna and Spencer Smiley; his buddies: Doug, Bucko, Quella, Otis, Zil, Mick, Russell, Rudy, Grandma and Grandpa Sauer; his faithful companions: Dexter, his little princess Small Brown and Baby. Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret; and grandparents, Walter (Sarah) Henning and Fred (Gertrude) Peters. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Bob Sawall officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31 from 4 until 7:45 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established. The family would like to thank Affinity Hospice and the Larsen-Winchester Lion’s Club.
