BEHLING, SANDRA L.

Sandra Behling, of Neenah, 66 years young, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Theda Clark Medical Center. She was born on October 27, 1942 in Appleton, the daughter of the late Gordon and Gloria (Jahnke) Sievers. On February 14, 1969 she married William Behling in Appleton. Sandy retired from August Winter & Sons, Inc. in 1999. Sandy had a zest for life, a contagious laugh, and a sparkle in her eyes. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Reading, shopping and traveling were a few of her joys, especially her time spent in Florida each year.

Sandy is survived by her sisters: Jackie VerVoort and Holly (friend Dick Spierings) Sievers; niece: Mindi (Troy) Blake and their children Tyler, Jack and Gracelyn, who made each day brighter for Sandy; longtime friend: Red Schultz and his family: Tom (Lisa) Schultz and their children Morgan, Jake, Emily and Sophie; Jeff (Sally) Schultz and their children Lucas and Tanner; Gary (Mary) Schultz and their children Sam, Josie and Nora and Paul Schultz. She is further survived by her uncle and aunt, Jerry and Dona Jahnke, many cousins and very dear friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Del Rohm and Bill Behling and her sister Tona Burgess.

The funeral service for Sandra will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN CHAPEL with Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park. The visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service. Memorials to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin are appreciated.
