Sally Mae Smarzinski, 84, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Appleton Medical Center. Sally was born on December 5, 1929 to Edward and Genvieve Johnson. Sally was born on December 5, 1929 to Edward and Genvieve Johnson. She was united in marriage to Fred Smarzinski and they celebrated over 50 years together. Sally enjoyed fishing, taking bus trips, visiting the neighbors and feeding the birds. Most of all she loved her grandson and the trips up north to the camper were always special. Sally was a member of St. John United Church of Christ.
Sally is survived by her husband Fred, a daughter Cathy Yost, a grandson Dan (fiancée Michelle) Yost, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Lucille Johnson and Jane Sedo, and two brothers, Ralph and Cliff Johnson.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday January 27, 2014 at ST. JOHN UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 1130 W. Marquette St. with Rev. Dr. Tom Fritz officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
