Ruth Boelter

March 23, 1932 — December 28, 2015

Ruth M. Boelter, 83, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center.

Ruth was born on March 23, 1932 to Arnold and Eileen Heinke. She graduated from Weyauwega High School in 1950. On June 17, 1950 she was united in marriage to Arlin O. Boelter and they celebrated 65 wonderful years together last June. Ruth worked at Geenen's Department Store and J.C. Penney. She was a den mother with the cub scouts when her children were young and was always there with a cake or bars for many birthdays, family events and church funerals. Ruth enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, watching the pelicans on the river, watching the ships go by on Lake Superior or just sitting with Arlin on their red front porch watching the people go by. Short rides in the country made her happy along with shopping for antiques. Ruth was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton.

Ruth is survived by her husband Arlin, her children; Sue and Dave Dunsirn, Randall and Michelle Boelter, grandchildren; Ryan Boelter and fianceé Ashley Freiberg, Scott and Shelly Dunsirn, Tim and Alyssa Dunsirn, Rick Dunsirn, Nathan and Stephanie Boelter, Amy and Brett Mielke, great grandchildren; Ethan, Jacob, Grace, and Lily Dunsirn, Peyton and Troy Boelter, Quinlan Boelter, sister, Barbara Thomsen and brothers-in-law; Edward Manske, Elroy and Diane Boelter, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Alma and Oscar Boelter, a son Larry Boelter, a grandson Adam Boelter, sister, Julaine Manske, brother-in-law, Doug Thomsen, brothers and sisters-in-law; Florence and Arlyn Koehler, Ellen and Irvin Kobiske, Elder and Marion Boelter, Carl and Bernice Boelter, Harold and Donna Boelter.

The funeral service for Ruth will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM at FAITH LUTHERAN CHRUCH, 601 E. Glendale St. with Rev. James Wiebel officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. Entombment will be in the Highland Memorial Park.
