Russell P. Senso

Age 83, died Friday, November 16, 2001 at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. Russ was born in Appleton on December 4, 1917, son of the late Albert and Ella (Wheaton) Senso. On August 29, 1940, he married the former Lorraine Arnoldussen in Kaukauna; she preceded him in death on November 26, 1999. Russ was a longtime employee of Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company in Kaukauna, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family cottage. Many will remember his garden and the pride which he showed in it.

Survivors include a son: Russ (Su Ann) Senso of Neenah; two daughters: Karen Richard of Appleton and Mary (Joe) Van Handel of Neenah; six grandchildren: Meghan and Joshua Senso, Robin (Jim) Sowinski, Roxanne (Roy) Clemence, Wendy (Mike) Tesch, and Sherri Lewis; three great-grandchildren: Madison Beattie, Alexis Tesch, and Zachary Tesch; two sisters-in-law: Frances Senso of Kaukauna and Ceil Wheaton of Kaukaun; and two dear friends: Mary Hooyman of Appleton and Roy Abitz of Green Bay. Russ was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lorraine, and brothers Clifton “Nook” Senso, Elmer Senso, and Oliver Wheaton.

Funeral services for Russ will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on that Tuesday, directly at the church, from 9 AM until the hour of the service.
