It's so hard to write about Russ because my feelings for him ran so deep.To me he was almost like one of my sons. Sitting at my computer each time I glance out my patio door now I half expect to see his smileing face waveing to me. He was like a fixture over here always working on something or other in my back garage. Russ had so many wonderful qualities, but the greatest was the size of his heart!! Of all my son Mark's friends, Russ was number one!! I feel so fortunate to have known him and he will be sadly missed but never forgotten! I offer my condolences to all his friends and family! Russ was a gentle and friendly person with a constant smile on his face. I (Jamie) will miss seeing him at the library and walking by with our shepherd who he was always happy to see. He was a good friend to our son Cody and we are sorry we will be unable to attend the funeral next weekend and tell his family in person what a nice neighbor Russ was to have known. He was never without a smile and a wave as he drove by.

Its so very hard to lose a close freind like russ, I am at a loss as to how im going to fill the void? there was only one russ, he always took the time to help you out, to cheer you up ect. Russ taught me things like powdercoating reloading ammo, proper use of a handgun, we had so many good times i cant begin to count them. he also loved people once or twice a week we would take off to a buffet and just have fun and russ would joke with the employees they just loved him. ive never seen a guy who could just walk up to anyone and have them laughing just like that! yes there was only one russ!
