Ruben E Schley

April 14, 1940 — December 19, 2016

Ruben E. Schley, Appleton, passed on to be with his precious Savior Yahshua. Hebrew name of whom he loved on December 19, 2016, with his family by his side. He was born on April 14, 1940 to the late Albert and Lucy (Portman) Schley. He married his wife, Judy Vander Loop on July 25, 1964. They had many blessed years together. Together they came to a place of knowing, loving, honoring and obeying Yahshua. It has been a precious walk with God.

Throughout his life, Ruben endured many physical struggles but with God's help he overcame them all, never complaining. He endured with such strength.
Ruben was employed by Wisconsin Wire Works which also became Asten Forming Fabrics for 30 plus years. Also Miller Electric for a short time. He served six years in the Army Reserves. He loved gardening, hunting, reading, spending time with his children, grandchildren, getting together for fellowship with many of our friends.

He carried in his heart a special place for his children and grandchildren that he so loved. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Judy, his brother Norman, his loving children; Tina MCleod, Kim Natrop, grandchildren; Shawn, Jacob, Christopher Mcleod, Travis and his favorite granddaughter Tonya Natrop and one great grandson Landon Olson. He is further survived by his brother Norm Schley, sisters; Alice Thiel, Cathy Bates, mother-in-law, Dorothy Vander Loop, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Jack (Angela) Vander Loop, Kaukauna, Joseph (Rose) Vander Loop, Winneconne, Dick (Nan) Vander Loop, Gary (Mary) Vander Loop, Kaukauna, Mike (Janet) Vander Loop, Darboy, Tim (Bonnie) Vander Loop, Sherwood, Jim (Sherry) Vander Loop, Tom (Angie) Vander Loop, Kaukauna, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ann Swanningson, Betty (Russ) Natrop, Kaukauna, Lynn (Nick) Popp, Combined Locks, and John Hartl, Stockbridge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lucy Schley, many aunts and uncles, Rosie and Elmer Strassman, Eric (Val) Portman, Norman (Irv) Portman, Mike and Leona Woods/ Steffens, Joe (Fran) Portman, and Lucy Heindrich. Father-in-law Henry Vander Loop, brother-in-law Bob Swanningson, and sister-in-law Pat Hartl.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, TRI COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida St. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family would like to give thanks to all those who cared for Ruben on the 3rd floor of Affinity Hospital, special thanks to; Dr. Scott Vander Wielen, Dr. Slovick, Dr. Partian, Dr. Avery, Dr. Dogma, NP Allison Stallhome. Also, to all those who prayed for him and many thanks to all our friends who had such big caring hearts to help us.
