Roy E Sieg

Roy E. Sieg, 90, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2017 at Manor Care Health Service in Appleton, WI. He was born on May 19, 1926 to the late Henry and Lorena (Korb) Sieg in the Town of Center. He married the love of his life Mary Beyersdorf on September 2, 1950 at St. Paul Church in Appleton together they celebrated 66 years. He drove truck for many years delivering oil, gas, frozen foods and produce. He enjoyed grocery shopping, going to church, attending races, watching NASCAR, taking bus trips to the casino's, listening to country and polka music, was a “Great Negotiator” and the “Original Tailgater,”a good sense of humor, but most of all he was a loving husband , a wonderful father, and a loving grandfather who enjoyed his time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Mary of 66 years, sons; Gary (Valerie) Sieg, Randy (Debi) Sieg, grandchildren; Lisa Sieg, Heather (Ben) Berger, Shaina Rodgers, Jason (Julie) Sieg, 6 great grandchildren, one sister-in-law; Janice Beyersdorf along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Arvin, sister Myrtle, brother and sister-in-laws; Anna Sieg, John Wilk, Calvin, Gladys Armitage, Harold, Irene Biebow, Henry and Priscilla Beyersdorf, Henry Beyersdorf Jr., 2 nieces and 3 nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME 537 N. Superior St. Appleton from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with a two hour visitation prior at ST. JOHN UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST 1130 W. Marquette St. Appleton.

Family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Manor Care, Heartland Hospice, and the home care givers for all their wonderful care they gave Roy.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established by the family.
