RATAJCZAK, ROSE M.

Rose Ratajczak, 93, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Rennes Health Care Center. She was born on August 14, 1916 in Kewaunee County, the daughter of the late Wenzel and Emma (Koss) Kuba, Sr. On April 19, 1947 she married Sylvester Ratajczak at St. Edward's Catholic Church, Mackville. Rose was a faithful member of St. Pius Catholic Church. The couple farmed in Kewaunee and retired to Appleton in 1976. She loved gardening and flowers.

Rose is survived by her son: Randall Ratajczak, Appleton; daughter-in-law: Kay Ratajczak, Kewaunee; grandchildren: Jean Ratajczak, Horicon and John Ratajczak, Kewaunee; sister: Katherine (Richard) Holcomb, Appleton; sisters-in-law: Margaret Jochman, Appleton and Gerda Kuba, Appleton; brothers-in-law: John Dresang, California and Donald Verkuilen, Appleton. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Sylvester, her brothers: Charles, Antone and Wenzel Kuba and sisters: Lillian Dresang and Agnes Verkuilen and her son Peter Ratajczak.

The funeral liturgy for Rose will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W. Marquette Street, Appleton. Father Thomas J. Farrell will be officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The visitation will take place on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of mass.
