Roger Lee Wheeler

Roger L. Wheeler, 79, died Friday May 11, 2018 in Appleton, Wisconsin with his daughter Vicki and family members at his side. Roger was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid race enthusiast and devoted Packer fan.

Roger is survived by his two daughters, Dawn (Robert) Gunter of Cody, WY and Vicki Wheeler of Appleton; seven grandchildren, Nathan VanGroll, Amanda VanGroll, Sarah (James) Schimmelpfenning, Beth (Ken) Kempen, Nicole Wheeler, Maria Wheeler and Hope Wheeler; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Richard (Stella) Wheeler, Greg (Tony) Wheeler, Steve (Nancy) Wheeler and Mark (Cindy) Wheeler; and 1 sister, Jeanne Laux.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Bethene; his parents, Eldee Wheeler and Regean Thomack; and his sister, Leota Gillespie.

A memorial gathering for Roger will be held from 3:00 PM. to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St., Menasha, with military honors being rendered at 5:30 PM.
