Robert Stuckrath

September 15, 1958 — June 8, 2013

Robert J. Stuckrath age 54, formerly of Sherwood and Wautoma, Wisconsin and cities in Illinois, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, following a long struggle with an insidious brain disease of Frontal Temporal Degeneration.

Bob was born on September 15, 1958, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Robert and Barbara Stuckrath. He married Diane Vendegna on May 17, 1981, and was the father of two wonderful young men that he was proud to call his sons, who in turn created a legacy bringing to this earth two beautiful, precious grandchildren.
Bob was a good man. He was hardworking, honest and loving. He had a unique sense of humor and will always be remembered for his quick wit and the ability to reduce anyone to a fit of laughter even during what could be considered the most somber of times. He had a way of changing the pronunciation of a word, title, name of a city or thing to something completely different, insinuating a different meaning that in turn not just made everyone laugh but will be continually repeated forever by others with a fond chuckle. Bob was a gifted man with his hands. He was incredibly talented in building and home repairs and created beauty to nearly dilapidated structures. He was known as the “daddy who can fix anything”. He took great pride in his work, he loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, hiking, traveling and exploring. But mostly, he loved his family.

Bob is survived by Diane; his sons Matthew (Jennifer Stoeckert) and Brian (Angie LaPlant); and two incredible grandchildren: Nathan and Reznor Stuckrath. He is further survived by his mother: Barbara of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin; brothers: Wayne of Lyndon Station; Bill (Mary) of Antioch, Illinois; Ken (Maryanne), and Dan all of Lyndon Station. Other survivors include Diane's parents: Joseph & Jacqueline Vendegna of Illinois; and her siblings: Darlene (Peggy) of California; Joe of Sherwood; and Victor of Illinois. There are also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who survive. Bob was preceded in death by his father: Robert F. Stuckrath and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be held 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at High Cliff Restaurant and Banquets in Sherwood. A reception will follow until 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name….or please donate to The Association of Frontal Temporal Degeneration in hopes to find a cure for this ravaging disease. Click here: www.theaftd.org

Many special thanks to the staff at Harbor Haven in Fond du Lac where Bob spent his last three years. You all took wonderful care of him and loved him like family. For that, his family will be forever grateful. You are all truly angels and Bob was blessed to be under your care.

You are at peace now, no longer a shadow of the man that this disease reduced you to. You will live on with dignity, respect and laughter in heaven. You will always be loved by many. Rest in peace Bob, you will be dearly missed but remembered with fond memories.
