BRAUN, ROBERT “BOB”

Robert Braun, 66, of Appleton, passed to K9OSH silent key status on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at home with his family at his side. He was born July 21, 1944 in Baraboo, Wisconsin, the son of the late Robert and Wilma (Rusch) Braun. Bob married Marilyn Mills on June 18, 1966 in West Milwaukee. After 34 years in the telecommunication industry, Bob retired from SBC. He was a Ham radio operator for over 50 years.

Bob is survived by his wife, Marilyn Braun; two daughters, Jennifer (Scott) Brielmaier and Katherine (Lloyd) Phelps; five grandchildren, Ellie, Eli and Joey Brielmaier; Owen and Grant Phelps; brother, Richard (Patricia) Braun; sister, Sandra Braun; brothers-in-law, James (Joan) Mills and Richard (Louise) Mills and special friend, Tim Thurner. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Braun.

The funeral service for Robert will be held at 1:11 pm on Friday, January 14, 2011 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. Rev. Kurt Kovanen will be officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service.
