Passed away quietly and peacefully at Franciscan Care Center on Tuesday, December 4, 2001. Bob was born January 31, 1911, to the late Thomas and Molly (McGarvey) Edwards of Sparta, WI. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Edwards; his three sons, Robert T., Roger W., and John R. Edwards; his brother John; and sisters, Phyllis and Winifred who preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memory include his grandchildren, Mark, Scott, Todd (Emmy), Kirk, Sam (Nancy), Erik (Lori), Jeffrey, Lisa (Tim) Long, Holly, John, Kelly, and Mitch; great-grandchildren, Jean Anna, Danny, Colleen, Allison, Kelly, Jeremy, Patrick, Bob, Melissa, Camille, Brandon, Conerie, Calvin and Owen; great-great-granddaughter, Maria Joy; daughters-in-law, Claudia, Lucille, Betty, and Carla Casperson; along with the many dear, caring friends from Calvary Chapel and volunteers who visited with him over the years. A special thank you is extended to the staff at Franciscan Care Center as they lovingly cared for Bob for 27 years. To know Bob was to love Bob. “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” John 14: 2-4. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2001 at CALVARY CHAPEL, 2136 E. Newberry St., Appleton, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to “Gospel for Asia”, 1800 Golden Trail Court, Carrollton, TX 75010.
