Robert John LeRoux

Robert John LeRoux, age 76, passed away January 15, 2018 at his vacation home in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was born February 13, 1941 to Norman and Viola LeRoux (Hett) in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The family moved to Menasha after his father passed away in 1953. Bob was a graduate of St. Mary High School, Class of 1959. He was a proud veteran of the Army and continued to serve in the Wisconsin National Guard for many years. He was an employee of Pechiney S.A. (formerly American Can Company) for 42 years retiring as a Graphics Coordinator in 2002.

On May 16, 1975 Robert married the love of his life, Janet LeRoux (Coenen) at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Appleton, Wisconsin. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Neenah-Menasha Elks Club. Bob and Jan loved to golf at many local courses and especially at Peninsula State Park. He totally enjoyed watching old black and white westerns and war movies. He was an avid Packers fan who never missed an opportunity to discuss the Green and Gold. Jan and Bob shared a love of travel highlighted by trips to Alaska, the Caribbean, Australia and New Zealand. Our memories of Bob are filled with his fun-loving spirit. He was always smiling and happy, and truly celebrated life.

Bob will be missed by his wife Jan, a sister Diane Huston, sisters-in-law Nancy Sayovitz and Diane (Bruce Wilz) Coenen Wilz. He is further survived by a niece, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Viola, a brother James LeRoux, brothers-in-law Donald Huston, Timothy Coenen, and John Sayovitz, father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph and Arlene Coenen (Deeg).

A Resurrection Mass for Bob will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 11:30 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette Ave., Appleton. Fr. Adam Bradley celebrant. Family and friends may gather at the Church from 10:00 am until time of Mass. There will be a private inurnment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton.

A memorial fund in Bob’s name will be established.
