HEGNER, ROBERT JOHN “BOB”
Of Appleton, age 56 years, passed away June 8, 2005 after a 1 ¬Ω year struggle with cancer. He was born August 26, 1948 in Appleton, the son of the late William and Jane (Brunke) Hegner. Bob graduated in 1966 from Xavier High School and attended the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico. He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. Bob worked for Outagamie County for many years and currently at Knickerbocker on the Lake and Biller Hotel in Milwaukee. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and their time together at Packer outings. Bob loved golfing, working on his boat and fishing.
Bob is survived by his son: John (Jennifer) Hegner of Kaukauna; daughter: Jennifer (Mat) Hedden of Kimberly and the children’s mother Diane Van Ryzin; step-son: Jeremy Brockman and his mother Deborah Hegner; 2 grandchildren: Jackson Hegner and Taylor Hedden; 2 brothers: George (Linda) Hegner of Black Creek and Jim (Kim) Hegner of Sterling, IL; sister: Margaret (Jim Griffith) Bullock of Helena, MT; 3 nephews: Grant (Pam) Hegner of Baltimore, MD, Drew Hegner of Milwaukee and Ted Hegner of Sterling, IL; great-nephew: Gage Hegner and great-niece: Catherine Hegner. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Monday, June 20, 2005 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends Monday from 4:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
