Robert J. Kramer

October 12, 2012 — November 22, 2012

Robert Kramer, age 58, passed away at his home in Oshkosh following a brief illness. Bob was born in Freedom on October 12, 1954, son of the late Arnold and Jean (Hilgenberg) Kramer and attended area schools. Bob worked for Goodwill Industries for a time, but for most of his life was an employee at Valley Packaging. Special Olympics played a huge role in his life. He was an award-winning bowler, basketball player, softball player, and once was named Athlete of the Year. He enjoyed bus trips with Able Trek Tours, and fishing excursions sponsored by Fishing Has No Boundaries. He also knew Appleton's streets like the back of his hand, and spent hours and hours exploring town on his red bicycle. Robert loved life, and will always be remembered as a cheerful giver. He loved to purchase little treats and trinkets for his friends and loved ones, and then gifted them to brighten their days.

Robert is survived by a sister: Mary Ann (Dean) Luedtke of Larsen; a brother: William Kramer of Texas; nieces and nephews: Liz (Tom) Rehberg, Char Luedtke, Phill Luedtke, Abby Luedtke, and Carrie Kramer; and two aunts: Joyce Kramer of Kaukauna and Kathy Berg of Seymour. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, and sisters Virginia and Catherine.

Funeral services for Bob will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Wichmann Funeral Home in Appleton, with Pastor Dan Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Oneida. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until the hour of the services.

Robert will also be fondly missed by all of his friends and co-workers at Wichmann Funeral Home, where he worked part time for the past several years. He was always so proud to have a job and be able to make a difference in the lives of others. We will miss you, Robert.
