Robert C. Williams

October 1, 1926 — January 24, 2012

Robert C. Williams “Bud”, age 85, of Darboy, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday January 24, 2012 with his family by his side. He was born on October 1, 1926 in Neenah, son of the late Charles & Mable (Kohls) Williams. On February 19, 1949 he married his high school sweetheart Margaret “Toots” Sensenbrenner, daughter of the late Rudy and Barbara (Schaefer) Sensenbrenner. Bud was active in his community. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Neenah, council and choir member for 20 years and a charter member of St. Timothy Church. He was active in the Chamber of Commerce and Twin City Redevelopment Project. Bud & Toots joined Prince of Peace Lutheran Church when they moved to Darboy in 1998 and built their third home where he took great pride working in his yard. “RC” was Executive Vice President of Central Paper Company in Menasha where he prided himself with honesty and integrity for over 39 years. For 20 years, the Snowbirds enjoyed their winters in Gulf Shores, AL where they walked for miles on the beach and welcomed visits from their family. His determination and drive was apparent at a young age whether he was selling Liberty magazines after school as a teenager, up every morning for his early workout, learning how to ski so his family could participate in a sport together, or in his later years sitting in the sunroom in awe of his yard and beautiful home. He showed all who knew him how to live life to the fullest. His favorite song and one that he sang often was “My Way” for “he faced it all, and stood tall, and did it his way”.

In His glory, Bud will be joining his parents, his sister Jane (Arnie) Johnson and brother Carlton Williams (husband of Nancy).

Dad is watching over his loving wife and best friend of 64 years, his 7 children: John (Lynne) Williams, Lynchburg, VA; Mary Williams, Portland, OR; Jane Ebben, Columbia, MO; Charles (Rebecca) Williams, Pardeeville, WI; James (Debra) Williams, Neenah, WI; Robert (Lori) Williams, Buttes Des Mort, WI; and Anne (Robert) Betz, Darboy, WI.
