Rita C. Joosten

Rita C. Joosten, 94, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014.

Rita was born on June 10, 1920 to Carl and Rose (O'Donnell) Weigman. She married Joseph Joosten in 1944. Rita was an amazing seamstress and sewed for her family and friends. She was also a wonderful cook and her chop suey, apple pies and fudge will be greatly missed and never copied. Rita most of all was a great mom, grandmother and great grandmother and the time she spent with her family will always be treasured. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel.

Rita is survived by her children; Tom (Donna) Joosten, John (Judy) Joosten, and Mary Beth (Bill) Knabenbauer, grandchildren; Christine Rhode, Adam Joosten, Melissa (Craig) Budkowski, Dawn (Jason) Warren, Bobby Joosten and Shane Knabenbauer, great grandchildren; Taylor Ann, Adin, Katie, Chole, Ireland, Jamenson and Alaina, her siblings; Rosella (Bob) Peterson, Bonnie (Ralph) Duprey, Joan Barr, and Jerry Weigman, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, and her siblings; Don, Leo, Norman, Bill, Carl, Jim, Ambrose, Mary Agnes and Theresa Heraly.

The funeral liturgy will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH, ST MARY CHURCH, 119 W. Seventh St. with Fr Jerry Pastors officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
