Rick Vandenhoy

Rick Vandenhoy, age 54, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009 at a local nursing home. Rick was born in Green Bay on March 24, 1954, in Green Bay, son of the late Richard Vandenhoy, Sr. and Arlene Blohowiak who resides in Appleton. In addition to his mother, Rick is survived by his brothers and sisters: Patti Vandenhoy of Spokane, Washington; Steve Vandenhoy of Green Bay; Mike Vandenhoy of Freedom and his special friend Peggy; Terry Vandenhoy of Combined Locks; Connie Boehm of St. Charles, Illinois; Carl Vandenhoy of Oshkosh; and Lynn Vandenhoy of Jacksonville, Florida and her special friend Donna. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law: Florence Vandenhoy of Little Chute and Patty Vandenhoy of Seymour; nine nieces and nephews, and by a special friend Peggy Ebben of Greenville.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, brothers Norbert Vandenhoy and Tim Vandenhoy, and a sister-in-law Debbie Vandenhoy.

Rick will be remembered for his love of jigsaw and crossword puzzles, exploring the internet, and camping and fishing in Arkansas.

A memorial service for Rick will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the Wichmann Funeral Home in Appleton, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
