Rick We are thankful for the extra time the Lord allowed us to have you here. We know you are in a much greater place and you will be looking down on us 'to keep us in line'. Thank you for being the best Uncle you could be for the boys. Alex is bummed that he won't ever get to put the dual stacks on your truck. They both appreciated the weekly calls of encouragement while they were in college. Adam will miss having someone to talk to in German ...at least someone who understands what is being said. Rest in peace 'Bubba'! Say Hi to Mom and Dad for me.

Sandy, We are so sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this season of grief. Rick was such a sweet guy and he will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. We pray our God will comfort you and give you His peace knowing that Rick is with his Lord for all eternity and that you will join him there one day. We will be out of town and unable to attend Rick's service, but we will be there in spirit and praying for you. May God be with you.

Rick was always friendly and welcoming. When I was a kid, (and because I was much younger than he and my brothers), I was viewed with the child-like disdain of being "too young" to hang around the older kids. But Rick was always very nice and included me. He always had a kind word. My most recent conversation with him this past summer at Vicky's house was the most memorable. Although I knew he was going through some health challenges, he remained positive and seemed to have an inner peace. I'll never forget that conversation. Upon learning of his leaving us here, one of the first things I thought of was that I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that Rick is a firm believer in Christ, and therefore, I knew where Rick has gone. I smiled when I thought about the day when he'll greet each of his fellow believers in the usual jovial Rick-style. Rick will be missed, but not forgotten.

Sandy, I am so sorry to hear of Rick's passing, I just got the message from. Julie Waters. We lived on the "His Oasis" property in Plainfield for many years next door to Bill & Julie. I remember how much you & Rick loved each other - it was so obvious. This isn't the end Sandy (as you know). You will be reunited again in the awesome place our Father has been preparing for us. In His Love, Tom & Julie Kofler
