I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Rick. He was such a great person to work with and I am glad to have known him on a personal level as well. He was such a great uncle to my niece. I still remember when I brought her to work with me because I had to grab something from the office, and when she saw her uncle Rick, she ran and jumped right into his arms giving him a huge hug. You will be missed, Rick. My condolences to his family. You all are in my prayers.

I worked for Cadre temp agency. For a number of years, I filled in during December for the receptionist at McCain Foods, under Dick's supervision. He was the nicest, kindest, most thoughtful man I had ever met (besides my husband). He often included me in the list of company employees getting a Christmas gift of an ornament, a ham, a jacket, whatever. That kind gesture made me feel appreciated. Rest in peace, Rick. You earned it.

Words can’t express what I’m feeling right now. Rick brought so much joy to all who knew him. You can only take comfort in knowing he went right to Heaven. When someone you love becomes a memory the memory becomes a treasure. May your memories heal your broken heart. I read something a while back about grief. It was something like grief never ends but it changes. It’s a passage but not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith but the price for love. So my dear cousins, I wish you comfort on these difficult days and Faith so you can believe there are better days ahead. Love you all so much Jeanette

Rick Hedtke was our Anchor Man. The good Lord gave Rick to our Anchor team as a steady rock of integrity, commitment and can do attitude to go to the moon and back again. There God blessed Rick with Lori and then family ever after. We will be ever grateful and pray for an extraordinary peace from above for Lori and the entire Hedtke family. He was one of us and will remain one with us forevermore. Thank you Rick. Mark Follett and Family
