Richard T. "Dick" Liethen

July 19, 1932 — November 7, 2014

Richard Liethen, age 82, of Appleton, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014. He was born on July 19, 1932, in Appleton, the son of the late Henry and Stella (Dohr) Liethen. Dick served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952 until 1954. He was a graduate of American Technical Society in Chicago, Illinois. Dick was employed at Liethen Corporation and then Schreiter Auto Supply. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Dick enjoyed going up north, fishing, and he was an avid Brewer and Packer fan.

Dick is survived by his daughters, Dr. Sue (Steve) Liethen-Bolwell of Carlsbad, California and Amy (Tommy Jr.) Guem of Aspen, Colorado; grandson, Tyler Bolwell of Carlsbad, California and brother, James (Marty) Liethen of Green Bay. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dick was preceded in death by his daughter Sara Liethen and a brother Mark Liethen.

The funeral liturgy for Dick will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 18, 2015 at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald Street. Inurnment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday at the church from 10:30 am until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated. Online condolences can be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
